- Learn the 5 basic categories of salsa dancing to fully understand the A, B, C's of great social dancing! This is the #1 reason advanced dancers dance great and its not doing patterns or styling!
- 5 slow pace but challenging classes held once a week over 5 consecutive weeks. Each class is 2 hours long (10 hours total salsa training).
- Limited to just 6 men and 6 women maximum or less.
- Get to dance with the teacher when needed throuout the course for individual and immediate feedback on your leading/following!
- Less expensive alternative to private lessons. Or a good preview if you do want to do private lessons after.
- No partner required to attend. You will be assigned a practice partner if you don't have one.
- No drop in's of additional people after the 2nd class.
- If you miss a class, you can do a separate make up session (see teacher for specifics).
- Please no masks in class and no vax proof ever asked. Please have good hygiene when attending class. Free mints, sanitizer & water provided.
- If you sign up as a couple and wish to not rotate partners in class, you can stay as practice partners during the course.
Class #1 you'll learn:
Timing interpretation of different
salsa music.
The 5 must know footwork steps.
Body movement.
How to properly do Right turns
and Left Turns.
Class #2 you'll learn:
Partnering and connecting
in the turns and open breaks
with correct lead & follow turn signals for it.
Plus reviewing and incorporating
what was taught in class #1.
Class #3 you'll learn:
Cross body passes 1 & 2
with correct lead & follow signals for it.
Plus reviewing and incorporating
what was taught in class #1 & 2.
Class #4 you'll learn:
Cross body passes 3 & 4
Plus reviewing and incorporating
what was taught in class #1, 2 & 3
Class #5 you'll learn:
Cross body pass 5
Putting it all together
Plus more detail and good habit forming

Hi, I'm Marcelo Rivero
Award winning teacher & coach
I specialize in teaching Salsa and Argentine Tango for social dancing and competitive or exhibition performances. As well as energy balancing for well being. I was voted 2012 favorite male dance instructor of the year and won several local pro/am competitions.
I'm known not only for my smooth and elegant dancing, but also for being a very patient teacher and ability to tell a story with my choreography. I can break down any salsa move or technique that is or will trouble you so anyone can understand as well as get rid of bad habits that's holding you back from getting better. Together my partner & I will help in your progress & salsa journey.
