- Learn not only the basic steps of Bachata, but proper body/hip movement and specific turn techniques that makes good fundamental social dancing! It's one of the biggest reasons advanced dancers dance great and its not doing fancy patterns or styling!
- 4 boutique style classes once a week. Each class is 2 hours long.
- Limited to just 6 men and 6 women maximum or less.
- Get to dance with the teacher or assistant for individual and immediate feedback on your leading/following!
- Less expensive alternative to private lessons. Or a good preview if you do want to do private lessons at some point.
- No partner required to attend. You will be assigned a practice partner if you don't have one.
- No drop in's of additional people during the 4 part course.
- No masks please and no vax proof ever asked.
- Be attentive to your teacher and respectful to each other when dancing close.
- If you miss a class, you can do a separate make up session (see teacher for specifics).

Class #1 you'll learn:
Timing interpretation of bachata music.
The basic footwork & weight transfers.
Side to side steps, forward & back steps,
box steps, in place & rebound steps.
Body movement & ladies hip movement.
Connection forms and framing.
Leading/following definitions and techniques.
Class #2 you'll learn:
Right turns and Left Turns
for both leads and follows
over the head, hammer locks & more.
with correct lead & follow signals for it.
Plus reviewing and incorporating
what was taught in class #1.
Class #3 you'll learn:
Open break with under arm pass.
Rotations
Break forward with twist
with correct lead & follow signals for it.
Plus reviewing and incorporating
what was taught in class #1 and #2.
Class #4 you'll learn:
Building consistency. Ironing out more detail
with faster bachata music in
all what was taught in class #1, #2 & #3
over and over and over again for
Habit forming reinforcement.
Hi, I'm Marcelo Rivero
Award winning teacher & coach
I specialize in teaching Salsa, Bachata & Argentine Tango for social dancing and competitive or exhibition performances. I was voted 2012 favorite male dance instructor of the year and won several local pro/am competitions.
I'm known not only for my smooth and elegant dancing, but also for being a very patient teacher and ability to tell a story with my choreography. I can break down any move or technique that is currently troubling you or to prevent it in the first place in a way anyone can understand. As well as get rid of bad habits that's holding you back from getting better.
